Chair
I am a member of my Practices’ PPG and I chair the East Staffordshire District Patient Engagement Group. I believe in patient engagement and understanding. I have worked in Social Care and Hospitals for over 40 years. I am an expert by experience in Dementia care and am involved in the promotion of Carers health.
I have been a Foster Carer, working with adolescents. This made me interested in teenage health problems and pregnancy. I am also knowledgeable about and involved with Armed Forces mental health issues, anticoagulation therapy, undiagnosed heart conditions and learning disabilities. I am also a member of the East and South East Clinical Commissioning Group.

I first became involved in-patient participation following early retirement in April 2009. I joined my local Practice Patient Forum and have been active in assisting with the growth of the Forum and its relationship with the patients it represents, the surgery partners and staff. I am totally committed to this work. I am currently the Vice-Chair of the East Staffordshire District Patient Engagement Group. In addition, I am currently the Vice-Chair of the East and South East Clinical Commissioning Group Patient Board, as well as the Chair of the East Staffordshire and Surrounds Diabetes UK Patient Network.
